Encryption Use PGP V6.5.1 to encrypt the file assignment5.txt. The file should be encrypted by using my public key (My' public key can be downloaded from here.). Then, the encrypted file should be emailed to me as an attachment. Suggestion of steps to follow: 1. Download my public key (secure mail link). 2. Download & Install the PGP V6.5.x freeware program to your personal computer (keeping in mind the restrictions that the law implies). 3. Double-click on my' key file, named Brian.asc, and Import the key. 4. Download the file to be encrypted (assignment5.txt) from here. 5. Right-click on the assignment5.txt file and select PGP, then Encrypt, from the list. 6. Scroll down the name list and select Brian L. Dos Santos to be the only recipient. 7. After clicking on OK a file named assignment5.txt.pgp is created in the same directory as the assignment5.txt file. 8. Send an email to me with the subject “ECommerce: Encrypted message enclosed” with assignment5.txt.pgp is included as an attachment. Unfortunately, not all email clients have a plug-in for PGP. However, if you are using email programs such as Outlook, Outlook Express, or Eudora you will be able to incorporate encryption to your email program. In that case, the steps to follow to encrypt the file may be modified. Check the MIT site from the PGP Downloads Resources to get more information about the PGP product, plug-ins, updates, and documentation.
