| There are four parts to this assignment. Together, they should take you anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. - Sign on to the
Web conferencing system and post a note
in the "Sign in Conference." If you have used this conference system in another course, you should use the same user ID and password to get in. If not, click on the new user graphic and fill in the form that is presented. After you successfully complete the form, you will receive an e-mail message that gives you your user name & password. You can change your password at any time. Keep the e-mail you receive until the end of the semester. -
Sign on to the class listserv by sending an e-mail message to listserver@dossantos2.cbpa.louisville.edu from your preferred e-mail account with the following in the message area
subscribe Ecomm 2000 your name substituting your own name in the appropriate place. This will make you a member of the listserv named Ecommerce99@dossantos2.cbpa.louisville.edu. It will enable you to receive messages that I send out to the class.
NOTE: If you are successful
in doing this, you will receive an e-mail response indicating that you have subscribed to the listserv, along with information on using the listserv. Keep a copy of this e-mail message until the end of this semester. - Register on this system to be able to access two secured areas,
course grades and restricted course material. You will use the same user ID and password that
you choose to gain access to both these areas. After you do this, you will receive an e-mail message telling you that you have successfully registered on this system for the class. Keep a copy of this e-mail message until the end of this semester. - Register on the CIS student system. This will give you access to the special lab for CIS students and will also give you web space and access to software that you will
need during the semester. When you get on the site, click on "Add" and fill out the form you see there. When filling out the form, select "student in a 300-400 level course" for the User-type.
In all, you should receive three e-mail messages (one for each of the first three parts of this assignment). Keep a copy of these messages at least through the end of this semester. |
