In this course you will develop an understanding of the business concepts and strategic opportunities that surround the emergence of eBusiness and Ecommerce. Our focus will be on understanding how the Internet is affecting existing business models and how these models are being (or need to be) adapted to thrive in this new environment. We will also explore the new business opportunities that are available as a result of this environment and what it will take to have these opportunities develop into thriving businesses. Our class sessions will include lectures by the instructor, case discussions and student presentations of individual and group work.

Each student will evaluate an eBusiness model of his/her choice (with Professor approval). You will use concepts from the course readings, presentations and reading/learning you have found on your own (such as news, periodicals, etc.). Here are guidelines for this assignment.

Each student will read a book from the "reading list" on the Materials page. Books will be added to the recomended book list, if necessary. You will write up an 8-10 page summary and critique of the book and will make a half-hour presentation to the class in which you will summarize the contents and present your analysis.
