A great graphics application. Allows you to view graphics files and to create graphics, including transparent/interlaced gifs for Web pages. Double click on the icon to download it to a
temporary directory (e.g., c:\temp). Then, using file manager to view the contents of that directory, double click on the program lviewp1b.exe. It will tell you that it is going to put the files in a directory called
c:\lview (change the directory only if you normally manage directories); click on the "unzip" button. Doing so will put all the programs in the lview directory. Using file manager, move the file ctl3dv2.dll to
the c:\windows\system directory.Using the mouse, grab the file lviewp1b.exe and drag it to any program group in Program Manager. It will create an icon that you can use to run the program. You can then create
associations between your image files (gif, jpg, bmp, etc.) and the new program (lviewp1b.exe) so the it will be used whenever you click on an image file. To install version 2.0, just save the file in a
temporary directory and then double click on it using Windows Explorer. Accept the defaults. |
