TweakUI |
This file will install a neat utility for Windows 95. The most useful feature is that will allow you to set up your machine to logo onto the network automatically when you start up your computer. Save the
file in a temporary directory and, using Windows Explorer, double click on the file Tweakui.exe that you saved. Read the file readme.txt for installation instructions. Then, reboot your machine and get to the
control panel (click on "my computer" and then on "control panel."). You should see an icon called "Tweak UI." Double click on it. Then, click on the "Network" tab at the top,
check mark the "log on automatically at startup" box and enter your userid and password. You are done. Next time you stary your computer, it will automatically log on to the network for you. |

Internet Assistant for Word |
Installing this program will enable you to save any Word document as an HTML file (Web document). Save the file in a temporary directory and, using Windows Explorer, double click on the file
wdia204z.exe that will be saved and follow the instructions on your screen. It will do the rest. Any Word document can then be saved as an HTML document by using the "Save as" command in the File menu and
choosing "HTML document" from the "Save as type" box. More information. |
Internet Assistant for Powerpoint |
Installing this program will enable you to save any Powerpoint presentation as a series of HTML and graphics files so that your presentation can be put on the Web.
- Close PowerPoint 95 if it's running.
- Save the file in a temporary directory and, using Windows Explorer, double click on the file pptia.exe that will be saved and follow the instructions on your screen.
- Open the folder you downloaded pptia.exe into.
- Double-click pptia.exe to expand it.
- Double-click ia4ppt.exe to install the Internet Assistant for PowerPoint 95.
Start PowerPoint and open an existing presentation or create a new presentation. Notice that the Export as HTML
command is now on the File menu.
